Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple


Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is one of the most popular temples in Bangalore City.The temple is run by the Managing Committee, under the aegis of the Endowments and Charitable Trust, Government of Karnataka. The managing committee consists of the executive officer, the priests of the temple and interested devotees who are nominated by the government. The rituals in this temple are held according to the Paancharaathra Agama Shastras.

Dattatreya Temple

Over 200 years old, the Dattatreya temple is arguably the oldest temple in this locality. The Marble idol of Dattatreya (Bramha, Vishnu & Shiva together) is impressive. The Anjaneya idol too, is unique - the diety is seen seated, rather than standing. Gurupoornima, Janmashtami and Shivarathri are celebrated. Daily sevas include a Rudrabhisheka, Panchamrutha Seva, Prasada Seva.

Uttarayana Mandira

Constructed in Hoysala style, this temple is administered by the "Samskruthi Kendra", an organization started by Sri. Vinobha Bhave, in '55. The temple complex is already home to multiple dieties, and a prayer hall. The organization intends to further expand the complex, and also add a religious library.

Dieties: Ganapathi, Eeshwara-Parvathi, Anjaneya, Venkateshwara, Subramanya, Navagraha, Shirdi Sai Baba.

Sri Venkateshwara Perumal Temple

This temple, managed by a trust that is run completely by women, has the distinction of being one of the few temples where all donations, including those in kind, are audited. The temple was inaugurated in 1982, and was renovated in 2000. The rituals performed with the Primary Deity follow the same customs and calendar as the Tirumala Temple. These include the Pavitrotsava, Kalyanotsava, and the festivities on the Sankashta Chaturti
